Helping the Pet Obsessed bring joy to their hearts and home with custom pet portraits

Fun Facts

Besides creating stunning Art for my clients, I’m a dog mom, too

fact one

Last year, I photographed more than 500 cats and dogs for private clients and rescues.  My work with so many temperaments has helped me hone my skills for working with animals, even your wild child, Cujo, who can’t sit still.

fact two

My childhood dog, Princess, showed me the gift of being loved by a dog and was my emotional support.  I didn’t realize then the oxytocin boost that was happening in my brain when we interacted, but now science supports the increase in positive feelings just by being around a dog.  See?  We all need dogs in our life.

fact three

We are empty nesters!  Our adult children live outside the home and are busy giving us grandkids and serving in the military.  Buuut since our home is empty, we fill it with furry faces and plenty of paws.  We may or may not have a problem.

the story behind my why

It started with an image

In my work as a School Psychologist, I noticed how happy students became when looking at images of my dogs on the wall. All of a sudden, the barriers of difficult conversation fell away and we made progress in making a connection.

Dog images increase feelings of wellness and can create a space for relationships to build. My mission is to help as many homes as possible create wellness using images of their favorite furry pal.

Heartwork that gives back

rescues in need

Helping rescues is top priority.  I’ve published a book and collaborate with rescues to create projects for the purpose of fundraising for much needed support.  Check out our current project below.
